Legal Sea Ventures Maritime Pte Ltd www.seaventures.sg Revised 17 September 2026

A shipowner’s business runs on trust, and so does its website. This page sets out, in plain language, the little this site handles, what becomes of it, and the rights you keep under Singapore law.

In plain terms

Visits are counted, not identified. Your message goes to our inbox. We keep only what you send. You stay in command.

  • Visits are counted, not identified

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser, and you can refuse them. The site carries no advertising and no social media scripts.

  • Your message goes to our inbox

The contact form delivers your enquiry to our team by email, and sends you a copy. The website itself keeps no database of enquiries.

  • We keep only what you send

Letters are kept the way a shipping office keeps letters: read, answered, and retained only as long as the matter requires.

  • You stay in command

Ask at any time what we hold about you, and we will show it, correct it or delete it, as the Personal Data Protection Act provides.

Who we are, and what this covers

Sea Ventures Maritime Pte Ltd is a Singapore-incorporated shipowner and maritime asset manager with its registered office at 101A Upper Cross Street, #08-12 People’s Park Centre, Singapore 058358. This policy describes how we handle personal data in connection with this website, www.seaventures.sg, and the enquiries that reach us through it.

We handle personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Questions about anything on this page can be sent to operations@seaventures.sg.

What the site collects on its own

This website is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts, no login and no subscription features, and it keeps no database. It carries no advertising and no social-media scripts, and it serves its fonts and media from our own hosting rather than from third-party networks. The one outside service it loads is Google Analytics, described in the next section.

Like almost every service on the internet, the infrastructure that hosts the site keeps standard technical logs: the IP address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser type. Those logs exist to keep the site secure and available. We do not use them to identify visitors.

Analytics and cookies

To understand how the site is used, we run Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google. It records visits in aggregate: which pages are viewed, the country or region a visit comes from, the type of device and browser, and how the visitor arrived. We use these figures only to improve the site. We do not use them to identify you, and they are not connected to anything you send us through the contact form.

To do this, Google Analytics places cookies in your browser. They are named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, and they hold a randomly generated number so that repeat visits from the same browser can be recognised as such. By default they last for up to two years. They contain no name, email address or other detail about you. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

This information is processed by Google on our behalf, on servers that may be located outside Singapore, under Google’s own terms and its privacy policy.

You can refuse this measurement and lose nothing, because every page of the site works without it. Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

What you choose to send us

Personal data reaches us only when you decide to write. The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a telephone number, a company, a subject and a message. When you submit it, those details are delivered to our team as an email, and an acknowledgement quoting a reference number is sent to the address you gave. Nothing is stored on the website itself.

The same is true when you email us directly, telephone the office or message us on WhatsApp: we receive exactly what you choose to send, and nothing more.

The acknowledgement you receive contains a full copy of what you sent, so you always have a record of exactly what we hold from the form.

How we use correspondence

We use the details you send us for four purposes, and no others:

  • Responding to your enquiry, whether it concerns chartering, vessel operations, investment opportunities, financing discussions or a general corporate matter, the subjects the contact form offers.
  • Carrying on the ordinary business correspondence that follows from it.
  • Meeting the counterparty due-diligence, sanctions-screening and record-keeping obligations that apply to shipowning where a commercial relationship develops.
  • Complying with law, regulation or a lawful request from an authority.

We do not operate mailing lists and we do not send marketing. Writing to us will never subscribe you to anything.

What we never do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, to anyone, for any reason.
  • We do not build profiles of individual visitors or make automated decisions about them. Our visit statistics are used in aggregate only.
  • We do not disclose correspondence except to our professional advisers, insurers or regulators where a specific matter genuinely requires it, or where the law compels it.

Third-party services

Some parts of the site, and some ways of reaching us, pass through services we do not control. Visit statistics are collected by Google Analytics, as described above. Enquiries sent through the contact form are delivered by Resend, an email delivery provider that processes them on our behalf, solely in order to deliver them; its servers may be located outside Singapore, and we rely on it to protect the data to a standard comparable to the PDPA. The WhatsApp link on our contact page opens WhatsApp, operated by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy; email travels through your provider and ours; and external sites we link to keep policies of their own. What those services record is governed by their policies, not by this one.

Retention and security

Correspondence is retained for as long as the enquiry, the relationship or a legal requirement makes necessary, and then deleted. Access is limited to the people who need it to deal with your matter. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we treat what you send us with the care that commercial correspondence has always demanded.

Your rights under the PDPA

The PDPA gives you the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used, to have it corrected, and to withdraw consent to its continued use. To exercise any of these, write to operations@seaventures.sg with the subject “Personal data” and we will respond as the Act requires.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may also raise the matter with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site works ever changes, for example if a future version were to introduce advertising or visitor accounts, this policy will change first, and the revision date at the head of this page will move with it. The version published here is always the one in force.
